TL DR : cpu temps all of a sudden rising to 95 degrees after 5 mins of low end gaming, not sure why, fans cleaned etc GPU temps still good. When i bought the laptop i got extra copper heatsinks etc installed so that it would be even cooler and was able to run bf4 etc at about 75 degrees on ultra so i'm unsure why the sudden increase, my gpu temps are still fine.
so I was hoping someone here could help me? possibly the thermal paste needs replacing? but would the effects of that happen over night almost? My drivers are all up to date, don t think that would make much difference but hey. GPU Temp and CPU Temp should just be displayed at all times via MSI Afterburner. I cleaned my fans out yesterday to try and fix the issue, but to no avail. The program does not read the temp of my gpu.
I haven't seen much thermal throttling in terms of fps, i'm playing bf4 at 80-100fps which is usual, and fallout 4 at 60. As the stock frequency is 2.6 GHz. The temperature sensor for the CPU is normally on the CPU. over the last 2-3 days i haven't been able to play even games like Age of Empires 3, and bully because my cpu gets up to about 95 degrees very quickly (about 5 mins).
